The purpose of this research work is to analyze the level of potential of adventure tourism activities in the rural parish of La Esmeralda in the Montalvo canton, using a mixed approach methodology, combining quantitative and qualitative methods using direct observation and surveys as data collection techniques. Once this research work was completed, it was concluded that the parish of La Esmeralda does have the potential to develop adventure tourism activities since it has incredible natural resources that could be used to carry out these activities if they were properly exploited. However, the site has a basic and decadent tourist infrastructure, which may cause tourists to choose not to visit this place. |
