The realization of this clinical case is based on recognizing COPD as a disease of great importance for public health due to its high mortality rate, since to date it is the most frequent pathology in adulthood worldwide, so It is important to identify the risk of suffering from this disease and what the results would be in a person's life. The fundamental objective of our clinical case is to identify the clinical manifestations of COPD in the patient and administer an appropriate treatment. At the end of this study, it is concluded that smoking control is the fundamental basis for trying to alleviate the patient's symptoms. |

At the end of this study, it is concluded that smoking control is the fundamental basis for trying to alleviate the patient's symptoms.Este presente estudio en un caso clínico está enfocado en el estado de salud de paciente de sexo masculino de 80 años de edad el cual presenta un cuadro clínico caracterizado por dificultad respiratoria, una disminución progresiva a la actividad física, refiere tener tos persistente de 7 días de evolución, se le realiza exámenes complementarios y una vez obtenidos los resultados es diagnosticado con enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC). La realización de este caso clínico se fundamenta en reconocer a la EPOC como una enfermedad de gran importancia para la salud pública por su elevado índice de mortalidad ya que hasta la fecha es la patología más frecuente en la edad adulta a nivel mundial, por lo que es importanteidentificar cuál es el riesgo de padecer esta enfermedad y cuáles serían los resultados en la vida de una persona. El objetivo fundamental de nuestro caso clínico es Identificar las manifestaciones clínicas de la EPOC en el paciente y administrar un tratamiento adecuado.
