Opis
Izvleček:Suicide attempts intensify in frequency and severity starting in adolescence and in the first years of adult life. It is estimated that in 60% of cases there is a substrate of depressive illness and in the remaining 40% personality disorders, alcoholism, drug addiction or schizophrenia. The means that the individual uses to kill themselves are many, among the most common are: firearms, hanging, or ingestion of toxic substances. The clinical case I present is about a suicide attempt in a 23-year-old woman who ingests sulfuric acid as a result of an acute depressive crisis, is admitted by emergency presenting signs and symptoms associated with caustic ingestion, severe injuries are diagnosed in the upper gastrointestinal tract and other complications that put her in a critical condition, so she is admitted to an Intensive Care Unit where she is given specialized care. By evaluating the clinical data of the patient according to the functional patterns of Marjory Gordon, it was possible to identify the altered patterns, formulate a nursing diagnosis and establish plans and care focused on the favorable and effective evolution of the patient, at the end we were able to evaluate the success obtained that was evidenced in the improvement of the patient, which recovered her physical and psychological health.
