In turn, in this case study, the Financial, Administrative, Tax, Audit and Control Management research line of the Accounting and Auditing career of the Technical University of Babahoyo and the Audit and Control research subline were used, which allowed for a better understanding of the research topic. Furthermore, the methodology implemented was descriptive supported by quantitative and qualitative approaches, which allowed the collection of information in order to obtain a general overview of the research topic and at the same time numerical data was also obtained that allowed us to know the increase in overdue portfolio in the aforementioned period. |

En las cooperativas de ahorro y crédito la cartera de crédito vencida se ha convertido en un problema para dichas instituciones financieras debido a que estas se refieren al incumplimiento de pago en el tiempo acordado por parte de los socios de la institución. A su vez, en el presente caso de estudio se utilizó la línea de investigación Gestión Financiera, Administrativa, Tributaria, Auditoría y Control de la carrera de Contabilidad y Auditoría de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo y la sublinea de investigación Auditoría y control, lo que permitió tener una mejor comprensión del tema de investigación.
