Estudio de Medidas y Protocolos de Seguridad en las Redes Informáticas del UPC (Unidad de Policía Comunitaria) de la Parroquia Barreiro

The main asset of great importance for organizations at the moment is the information they have. The current trend forces organizations to manage their information through Information and Communication Technologies, so their main interest is to keep it safe. The security of information involves creating security measures in the physical infrastructure of the network and implementing protocols to manage the transmission of data in it. That is why it is vitally important that organizations implement security policies to keep their equipment safe and above all the information guaranteeing the integrity, reliability and availability of it. The Community Police Units have a network that allows them to manage information both locally and in the cloud. The fundamental role of the UPC is to provide the national police with tools to guarantee citizen security, which means that the information that is managed in these places is very important. Thanks to these previously detailed criteria, we intend to carry out a study on what security measures and protocols are used in the computer networks of the UPC of the Barreiro parish, Babahoyo Canton, Province of Los Ríos, where it is intended to identify if its network infrastructure is compliant with certain standards that could help ensure the security of your networks. The Community Police Unit plays a very important role in our community since they are called to give security and protection to the inhabitants of said parish and therefore manage a large amount of data and confidential information which must be protected by the correct ones security measures and using the corresponding protocols.
