Тойм:Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal morbidity and mortality in the world. Preeclampsia is hypertension that usually occurs after 20 weeks of gestation along with proteinuria. In the absence of proteinuria, preeclampsia is diagnosed in association with hepatic dysfunction, thrombocytopenia, pulmonary edema, new onset of renal dysfunction, or new onset of brain or visual disturbances. It can cause severe morbidity, chronic disability, and even death in mothers and babies. Additionally, it is linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes in the mother's later life. The objective of the study is to determine the risk factors related to the development of preeclampsia in pregnant women treated at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Hospital during the period November - April 2024. The methodology used in the research was quantitative, descriptive, and documentary; The sample used in the research is 85 pregnant women who are treated at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital during the period November - April 2024.
