Summary:The present clinical case was carried out at the Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús de Quevedo, it belongs to a female pediatric patient, 2 years old with a medical diagnosis of Bronchiolitis, the patient enters the emergency area as an outpatient, in the company of her parents, oriented in time, space, person and place for presenting a 24-hour clinical picture of productive cough, nasal congestion and runny nose, dyspnea on medium exertion accompanied by intercostal retractions; On auscultation, she had rales and wheezing noises. The doctor mentioned that the girl had a respiratory condition. She was treated in the general emergency area, her vital signs were: Blood Pressure: 90/60 mmHg, Respiratory Rate: 35 x1, Heart Rate: 95 x1, Temperature: 38.5 oC, Oxygen Saturation: 91%. The application of the nursing care process allows us to provide the necessary nursing care to the patient for whom a cephalocaudal assessment is performed, by Marjory Gordon's functional patterns and laboratory tests: complete blood count, blood biochemistry, CRP electrolytes; Imaging tests: AP chest x-ray, he is admitted to pediatric hospitalization, nursing care is provided, peripheral intravenous cannulation is performed, medication administration according to medical prescription, control and recording of vital signs, oxygen therapy by nasal cannula and other interventions with the aim of recovering the patient's health.
