Lisää tagi | Yhteenveto: | The present case study was based on the study of the media in the city of Babahoyo, with the objective of analyzing the presence of women in sports spaces, in the year 2022. The methodology consisted of a non-experimental design, quantitative approach, field, documentary and descriptive research, the survey technique and two questionnaires that were addressed to 16 media outlets and 15 female journalists. The results were that: only half of the media have an exclusive sports space, in which they include women. The means to consider that the reasons that largely justify the absence of women journalists in sports spaces are gender discrimination, experience and lack of specialization. The majority of female journalists believe that women and men do not have the same job opportunities in sports media spaces. In conclusion, the insertion of women in sports spaces has been a fundamental advance for gender equality in the world of sports. The media still has limitations in including women in sports spaces because only half have been equal. |
