| Résumé: | Pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic pathology that affects the lungs and is characterized by progressive scarring of the lungs, leading to a loss of lung flexibility and deterioration of its function over time. The main signs and symptoms of this disease are dyspnea, dry cough, clubbing, muscle and joint pain, fatigue, weight loss. To make the diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis, the patient's history is analyzed, the clinical picture presented by the patients, and complementary tests are performed, such as chest X-ray and computerized axial tomography. The present clinical case established in a 74-year-old female patient, who goes to the emergency area of the "IESS Babahoyo General Hospital" referring to present. Unquantified thermal rise, dyspnea, dry cough of 12 days of evolution and which worsens at night, loss of appetite, muscle and joint pain, fatigue, also presents deformation in the fingers of the hands (clubbing). The main objective of this clinical case was to determine the appropriate treatment for a 74-year-old female patient diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. |
