Comportamiento agronómico de los Pepinos híbridos `diamante´àmanda´y `jaguar en tres densidades poblacionales en la zona de Babahoyo.

This research was established in the grounds of the farm "San Pablo" of owned by the Faculty of agricultural sciences, Technical University of Babahoyo, located at Km 7.5 via Babahoyo - Montalvo, using hybrid cucumbers 'Diamond', 'Amanda' and 'Jaguar' planted with different population densities. The objective was: to) identify hybrid increased production of fruit per hectare; b) determine the best population density; and, c) analyze economically the fruit yield based on the production cost of the treatments. The tested population densities were; 1.4 m x 0.25 m (28571 pl / has); 1.6 m x 0.25 m (25000 pl / has) and 1.8 m x 0.25 m (22222 pl / has); Therefore, treatments were formed by combinations of the hybrids with population densities. Used the "Randomized complete block" experimental design with 3 x 3 factorial arrangement; 4 repetitions, and 9 treatments. The experimental plot was constituted by 3 rows of 6 m length, distanced 1.4 m; 1.6 m and 1.8 m, giving 25.2 areas; 28.8 32.4 67 m2; While the useful area was determined by the row of central, giving 8.4 areas; 9.6 and 10.8 m2 respectively...............
