Sammanfattning:Urinary tract infections are the most frequent complications during pregnancy. They occur due to the anatomical-physiological changes that pregnant women present. Its early diagnosis and management is of great importance to avoid possible maternal-fetal sequelae that may occur. Its diagnosis is made with the identification of a pathogen through a urine culture, and the most frequently found microorganism is Escherichia coli. (Revista Médica Sinergia. Vol. 5 Num. 5. mayo 2020). The Nursing Care Process will be applied to pregnant women who are 18 weeks pregnant with urinary tract infection. The assessment was carried out following the model of Marjory Gordon, using the interview as a direct method, collecting objective and subjective data through the assessment of functional health patterns, such as physical and neurosensory examination; guaranteeing the patient planned and specific care which alleviated the state of health in which he was, contributing to the improvement and maintenance of both physical and emotional health. Urinary tract infections in pregnancy must be detected in the first instances during prenatal check-ups carried out by pregnant women to avoid the complications that this pathology can cause if they are not treated properly. Although there is no way to 100% prevent a urinary tract infection, you can reduce the probability of contracting one with the following recommendations: • Drink a lot of water. - Don't resist the urge to go to the bathroom. - Take care of intimate hygiene during pregnancy (Lucy Ortega, 2017)
