Summary:The present research work is aimed at the relationship of social networks during the Covid-19 pandemic with the quality of the information received by the inhabitants of the Buena Fé Canton, year 2021, this study aims to determine the effect of the intensity access to news false in social networks related to Covid-19 at the level of public disinformation. The spread of the coronavirus disease is the first pandemic characterized by the massive use of technology and social networks to keep people safe, informed, productive and connected. At the same time, the technologies on which our ability to communicate and receive information depend are generating and amplifying an infodemic that continues to undermine the effectiveness of the global response and threatens to undermine efforts to combat the pandemic. In this situation, the opinion of the population is divided and part of it leads to the spread of false information to the extreme level, it is inevitable when misinformation invades all areas of our lives, people do not know who or what to believe and They often make inappropriate decisions that endanger public safety and life itself. The results were obtained, through the type of descriptive research that allowed the analysis of data in the form of describing the collected data, the research technique such as the survey was used and the method used is convenience sampling, it was applied due to the emergency situation we are going through. The survey was applied to 100 people from the Buena Fé Canton, between 25 and 37 years of age and older, in order to counteract the infodemic and help break the chain of misinformation by pausing and thinking before sharing this or that material. After the analysis, it was concluded that part of the existence of COVID-19 makes communication and the media become a labyrinth, and that it is increasingly clear that we will not be able to face the pandemic without eliminating disinformation. Online. However, this can be fixed with communication and media education, especially digital media.
