This study was conducted at the Hospital Martin Icaza in the internal medicine hospitalization area and encompasses the etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, and treatment. Pleural effusion is characterized by an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the pleural cavity, often resulting from underlying diseases.
