Description
Summary:According to investigations carried out by the INEC, it states that currently the cultivation of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) in Ecuador has had a significant increase in planting on this crop, it is estimated that approximately 14 455 hectares are cultivated with radish, to which It is added that the main producing provinces are located in the north of the country, such as Imbabura, Tungurahua, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo. Having mentioned the total area planted in our country, it is worth mentioning that the radish in its internal composition contains large amounts of water, as well as carbohydrates and fiber, therefore, this provides low levels of calories, being recommended by nutritionists. in weight-regulating diets, it has a significant amount of vitamins. When talking about organic agriculture we are focusing on an area today, unusual, since people are more inclined towards crops of inorganic origin, either due to the interest of agronomic management of the crop or purely economic interest, that is why I carry out this research in order to raise awareness among people to increase the cultivation of crops of organic origin and to strengthen the knowledge that exists about this cultivation technique of organic origin. When talking about the origin of the radish (Raphanus sativus L.) in Ecuador, according to data it is stated that the radish was introduced to by the arrival of the Spanish, but, nevertheless, an exhaustive analysis had to be carried out to thus determine that the radish was a food of great nutritional value, this crop meets its morphological cycle adequately in temperate or cold regions. By carrying out good agronomic management of crops of organic origin, we will obtain an increase in knowledge about organic matters and in the same way we will solve many negative effects caused by the indiscriminate use of chemical pesticides commonly used in Ecuador's agriculture.
