With the objective to analyze the differences between public and private media, according to the restrictions established in the Organic Law of Communication LOC). The techniques applied were the survey focused on the media and the interview with the formulation of questions about the media, censorship and self-censorship. An interview was also conducted to know the position of Kerly Escandón Loor, in her capacity as presenter of news from the digital newspaper “La Ultima” in the city of Quevedo. The results of this case study show that the Rafael Correa decade and the media, regiments and adverse situations marked an item in the media sphere and society in general, government in which freedom of expression, journalistic integrity and impartiality were affected by the multiple sanctions and regulations imposed by the agencies created precisely to regulate in a convenient way certain beneficiaries |
