| Čoahkkáigeassu: | This research presents the influence of Information Technology and Communication in the academic performance of students in Computer Science Applied Computing course Education Barreiro Babahoyo Education Unit, in order to determine whether these are influencing the academic performance students of that institution. For the scope of this proposed objective types of exploratory, descriptive and proactive methodology used and interview techniques for teachers and distributed surveys of 129 students was used, with a type of random probability sampling in which each elements form part of the sample. The study population on which the research focused is bounded at 100 % of students in the First School Computing parallel B , C , D, in the course Applied Computing Education Education Unit Barreiro . The methods used were deductive, descriptive development of Chapter II. Analysis and interpretation of data obtained from surveys to get a percentage of each of the responses was performed was performed. Among the most important results highlight that teachers do not use technology tools like Google Drive, Blog, You Tube, webquestion , email, virtual platforms to explain their classes. This analysis led to the conclusion that there is carried out using ICT should be the focal point in the updated study area so that the proposal requires a strengthening in the form of education provided , that is, implementing the use of new information technologies and communication , which are now a teaching tool for educational institutions reformed . In conclusion , the implementation of technological tools will strengthen the teaching - learning and thus help improve student academic achievement and for this the proposed development of a manual tools for teachers Google Drive raised the Information Technology Applied to Education course , morning section of the Education Unit Barreiro , city Babahoyo |
