Summary:The present clinical case deals with a 43-year-old male patient who underwent surgery to remove a grade III pterygium, who developed symptoms of photophobia and loss of visual acuity. After the respective optometric evaluation, the diagnosis of photophobia is confirmed, lenses with photochromic and blueblock protection are prescribed, these measures are focused on reducing the impact of the symptoms of photophobia, in addition, instructions on visual care and exposure to harmful elements such as dust and other irritants. Postoperative follow-up includes regular visits to evaluate your evolution and adaptation to the lenses. The patient shows improvement in the symptoms described.
