The study methodology developed was field, exploratory and descriptive, through the use of the deductive method, with a qualitative-quantitative approach. The universe of study was 145 elderly patients who entered the IESS Hospital of the Babahoyo Canton of Los Ríos Province during the first semester of 2018 and the study sample was 85 people. Intentional non-probabilistic sampling was used. The technique of unstructured and direct scientific observation, the unstructured interview and the survey to gather information were applied. Through knowledge to patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, from IESS Babahoyo hospital; Mediating issues related to the benefits of Pulmonary Rehabilitation in patients with this pathology, obtaining that the patient has excellent pulmonary ventilation improving their lifestyle. The application of pulmonary rehabilitation techniques for the early improvement of the patient is considered of great importance. |

The application of pulmonary rehabilitation techniques for the early improvement of the patient is considered of great importance.Mediante la indagación ejecutada en el hospital IESS Babahoyo, consiente conocer la influencia de la Rehabilitación Pulmonar como una medida alternativa para el tratamiento en los pacientes qué padezca de Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Crónica, al hallarse dificultad se muestra necesidades que consientan en la aplicación de un programa de charlas respectiva a los cuidados, prevención para así mejorar el estilo de vida de los pacientes que acuden al hospital IESS Babahoyo. La Metodologia de estudio desarrollado fue de campo, exploratorio y descriptivo, a través del empleo del método deductivo, con enfoque cuali-cuantitativo. El universo de estudio fue de 145 pacientes adultos mayores que ingresaron al hospital IESS del Cantón Babahoyo de la Provincia Los Ríos durante el primer semestre del 2018 y la muestra de estudio fue de 85 personas. Se utilizó el muestreo no probabilístico intencional. Se aplicó la técnica de observación científica no estructurada y directa, la entrevista no estructurada y la encuesta para recopilar información. Mediante conocimientos a los pacientes con Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Crónica, del hospital IESS Babahoyo; Mediantes temas relacionados con beneficios que tiene la Rehabilitación Pulmonar en los pacientes con esta patología, obteniendo que el paciente tenga excelente ventilación pulmonar mejorando su estilo de vida.
