Shrnutí:This clinical case study aims to clearly recognize that hemorrhages from the second half of pregnancy are a potential cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. The placenta previa is a pathology characterized anatomically by the partial or total insertion of the placenta in the lower segment of the uterus that is poorly vascularized, which results in an inadequate uteroplacental perfusion, which negatively affects the maternal and neonatal outcome. The study of this case is based on the analysis of the risk factors and complications associated with the placenta previa and its subsequent clinical-surgical evolution, in which it is intended to have adequate management, in the preventive and therapeutic measures of this Pathology, with the aim of minimizing the complications of the mother-fetus binomial. This research has its origin in a second-level hospital unit. The clinical case to study is of a female patient multiparous 36 years of age who courses with pregnancy of 36.6 weeks of gestation according to the date of last menstruation, with a history of health, surgical by cholecystectomy 6 years ago and background ginecobstetricos Gesta 5, for 4, abortion 1, C-section 0, She was hospitalized for having mild and painless transvaginal bleeding, after complementary examinations, especially ultrasound was diagnosed with placenta previa more breech presentation, so it was referred to a hospital unit of the third level due to clinical case complexity. The follow-up, showed that the hospital unit received by this patient, resolved to take an expectant behavior in front of this clinical picture, until it meets a gestational age at term, for the realization of the immediate procedure, which termination of pregnancy by Caesarean section
