Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | The elderly population has increased dramatically in the recent years worldwide, due to cultural partners conditions, health, improving health systems, nutrition education and culture of the need for physical activity and avoid a sedentary lifestyle. In Ecuador there are 1’229,089 adults aged 65 years or more, which means that more than 9% of the population is aging. In the mountains (596,429) followed the coast (589 431). The majority are women (53.4%) of 60-65 years in the country.11% of seniors live alone this population increases in coastal Ecuador (12.4%) while older adults living with their children accompanied (49%), grandchildren (16%) and wife or partner (15%). Although 81% of seniors say they are satisfied with their lives, 28% feel helpless, 38% feel that your life is empty, and 46% feel that something bad is going to happen. 69% of the elderly Ecuadorians have required medical attention, most use hospitals, health subcenters and private practices. 28% of cases are they who paid the medical consultation, while 21% are paid their children. The aim of the research is to understand the geriatric controls systematically in the sub centers in the area 09D07 Bastion Popular Pascuales to improve the quality and warmth in public attention. This research was conducted in the Guayas Province Guayaquil in marginal urban parish Tarqui Area 09 Distric 2013-2014. People’s Bastion, located northwest of the city of Guayaquil, the paraishTarqui marginal urban sone in the KM12 via Daule, with a population of 200,000, qualifies as a priority area by the Ministry of Public Health for existing Biological very high risks, sanitary type, Socioeconomic and high rates of migration, making it a range of multiculturalism, customs, ideologies, ways of living and surviving diverse.
