This research was conducted in order to learn about the issue "THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PARISH GAD AND THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT OF THE PARISH RICAURTE, CANTÓN URDANETA, PROVINCE LOS RÍOS IN THE PERIOD 2017". Chapter I: contains the idea or research topic, the contextual framework that speaks to international, national, local and institutional, explains about the problematic situation, the problem statement, general problem, subproblems or derivatives, delimitation of the research, rationale and objectives of the work. Chapter II: development of theoretical or referential framework is structured through basic categories based on the variables; theoretical position and the hypothesis are also found in this chapter. Chapter III: research results, which conducted an analysis and interpretation of the results to draw conclusions and recommendations. Chapter IV contains the proposal which explains how important it is to have an inventory about the tourism resources of a place, which aims to improve the socioeconomic development of the Parroquia Ricaurte Urdaneta Cantón – Province Los Rios.
