Riassunto:Altered or slow labor is characterized by labor that progresses with abnormal slowness due to ineffective uterine contractions, abnormal fetal presentation or position, inadequate pelvic bone, or abnormalities of the mother's soft pelvic tissues. It is more common in nulliparous women and is accompanied by considerable maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality as a result of infections, uterine rupture and surgical deliveries. Disseminate obstetric strategies to reduce presentation dystocia during delivery associated with maternal-fetal morbidity and mortality in pregnant women treated at the Martín Icaza General Hospital, first semester of 2018. The present work was based on medical articles, journals, bibliographic review in academic google. Disorders of presentation are complications that basically worsen the prognosis of delivery, predispose patients to undergo emergency caesarean sections, although they can not be avoided, if they can be diagnosed early and in some cases correct (experienced professionals). In our environment, this problem has caused high morbidity and maternal-fetal mortality rates, mainly due to pregnancies in adolescents, which is a modifiable risk factor. As a main recommendation, all pregnant women should perform adequate and timely prenatal check-ups. It is recommended that the health personnel take the measures and precautions due at the time of performing the ultrasound, to determine the fetal position, as well as the weight and fetal height, thus achieving a successful delivery and avoiding emergency cesareans
