Omschrijving
Samenvatting:The pitahaya receives various names, depending on the country where it is produced, among which the following stand out: pitahaya (Colombia), Belle de nuit (France), calyx flower (Venezuela, Puerto Rico). Today the pitahaya is considered a profitable tropical fruit for export due to its morphological and nutritional qualities, which is why it is being promoted throughout the world through international fairs in countries such as: China, Malaysia, Paris, Brazil and Argentina. The frequency and intensity of rainfall cause a series of physiological and phytosanitary events that increase the quality and yield of production, exceeding the threshold of economic damage. Anthracnose is a disease caused by a fungus that directly affects the fruit in pre and post-harvest, lowering its productivity and quality indexes, thus presenting severe economic damage to producers dedicated to this activity. It is a disease that mainly affects the leaves and the fruit, presenting its first symptoms with small circular brown spots, which when advancing in the tissue present black lesions, with a sunken and dry appearance; which causes the loss of the leaf area and therefore affects its photosynthetic process, affects the size and quality of the fruits.
