The reasons why these events occur lie in justice, severe poverty, social exclusion, lack of economic and job opportunities, including a culture of violence and impunity in the province, are factors that contribute to the most violent events. The importance of the study for society arises from the scientific content generated through this research, with which it is possible to provide the press with valuable information. The intended impact is to inform the media about current journalistic practices and highlight the importance of news related to violence in the province so that the population is well informed about these events. Likewise, a mixed approach is used, using as tools: documentary review, surveys and focus groups to determine the prevalence of violence that affects the province. |
