| Zusammenfassung: | The present work is aimed at the study of digital screens and their incidence on visual stress in the San Juan Parish Decentralized Autonomous Government from December 2022 to April 2023, given that it is a population that due to their work duties are constantly exposed to the same. One of the factors that intervenes in these screens having a harmful effect is the short distance that is kept between the screen and the user, impacting directly on the eye. Regarding the institution, 20% of the officials of the San Juan municipal GAD have some visual condition that requires the use of glasses, while 80% do not use glasses, but they do not know the consequences of the continuous use of glasses. digital screens without any protection. Therefore, observation and survey were used as research techniques, since they allow to know first-hand the environment of the study population, and also to know with greater certainty the presence of the symptoms of visual stress. As results, it was obtained that most of the employees are exposed for more than 8 hours a day to digital screens and also present the majority of symptoms associated with visual stress, for which a prevention and care guide was created, with which it is expected that awareness is created about the use of digital devices and that the excessive use of electronic devices can be curbed. |
