Description
Résumé:Poultry farming is an industry of great development at the national level since it produces one of the sources of protein of greater consumption, in addition to being an industry that contributes strongly to the development of society in the economic part with new forms of economic income. For the production of this it is important to know that feeding constitutes the highest cost of production and good nutrition is reflected in the performance of the birds and their product. The present experimental study was carried out with the objective of comparative tests of the productive parameters between two lines; broiler cobb 500 chickens and broiler ross 308 chickens in the canton Caluma, feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion and mortality were analyzed. For the execution of the study, 200 chickens of the Cobb 500 and Ross 308 lines were used with two treatments with a density of 10 chickens per square meter, which presents an exhaustive bibliographic review about the productive and economic parameters of these lines of meat chickens. In most studies, the production parameters of the Cobb 500 line stand out slightly, but not significantly. To date, in Caluma, there is no work in this regard to the comparison of lines and only performance and production studies are carried out with the Cobb 500 line.
