Resumo:Placenta previa is one of the causes of hemorrhage in the second or third trimester of pregnancy which affect mainly pregnant women with previous uterine scar, multiparous or with age equal to or greater than 35 years; the endometrial, myometrial or ovular modifications would be affecting the implantation of the blastocyst or the placenta, causing it to be located near or above the cervical orifice. With the aim of developing a nursing care process that guarantees maternal-fetal wellbeing in a pregnant patient with placenta previa, a physical assessment was carried out by functional patterns and analysis of complementary exams, data that were subjected to critical thinking nurse indicating the dysfunctional patterns and determining the nursing diagnoses that led us to select the ideal interventions for this clinical case. The results were favorable due to the hemodynamic balance, absence of hemorrhage and emotional harmony
