| Summary: | THEME: SOCIO-CULTURAL FACTORS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BREACH OF THE VACCINATION SCHEME IN CHILDREN 0-2 YEARS OF AGE IN THE MOCACHE, LOS RÍOS SUB-CENTER, OCTOBER 2018- APRIL 2019. The purpose of the research is to determine sociocultural factors and their relationship in the non-compliance of the vaccination scheme in children 0-2 years of age in the Mocache Subcenter, the applied research design was: descriptive, qualitative, quantitative, cross-sectional and in the field, with the support of observation techniques, the surveys to the parents and interviews to the nursing staff of the health unit are applied. As a result of the surveys we find the main factors such as ignorance and the economy and other secondary factors for which children have the incomplete vaccination scheme. Nursing staff is constantly encouraged to promote information regarding the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). Therefore, the present investigation concludes that there are two main factors why parents do not take their children to vaccinate since ignorance and economics play an essential role in this problem. Due to the results a proposal was elaborated based on the elaboration of an educative program, to foment the knowledge in this subject that is of extreme importance and benefit so much for the parents as for the boy. The objective of the proposal seeks to increase the level of knowledge in the parents of children 0-2 years of age. |
