Riassunto:This research was conducted with the purpose of studying the beta-hemolytic Streptococcus group A and its incidence in pharyngeal infections affecting mainly children between 5-10 years of cooperative Quevedo canton February 20 2015 first half. The aim of this study is to determine the incidence of the beta-hemolytic Streptococcus group A in throat infections in children aged 5-10 years, due to the high rate of cases presented with such infections more often affect children with stage school. To carry out this research proceeded to make a collection and analysis of statistical data of children belonging to the Cooperative February 20 diagnosed with pharyngitis or tonsillitis treated at the sub-center of venus. The method for diagnosis was through culture (throat swab). Through the study it was found that the main cause of throat infections in children is caused by bacteria, the most frequent hemolytic Streptococcus group A bacteria that spreads easily because it is freely in the air.
