This knowledge helps us to be critical and reflective about the impact of such content on society. In addition, it is important to recognize the negative impact on mental health, such as anxiety and stress, as well as the development of aggressive behaviors and reduced empathy. Regulation and public policy are critical to protect users from inappropriate content and hold digital platforms accountable for monitoring and filtering violent content. Media education and careful selection of content are important to foster proper understanding of shared messages and avoid desensitization. In Ecuador, there is a prevalence of violent and intimacy content on digital platforms, which generates a lack of consideration for the people involved and the need to address this problem. |
