Responsabilidad ambiental para el desarrollo turístico sostenible del Balneario de Agua Dulce El Limón Cantón El Empalme, año 2019

This research was carried out in the El Empalme canton, whose main objective was to determine the environmental responsibility for sustainable tourism development in the Agua Dulce Spa “El Limón” of the El Empalme Canton, year 2019. Since this specific issue does not have before having been addressed in other investigations, conducted in this area. Showing through this work the findings of a direct investigation with those involved in the problem. This research shows the opportunity to contribute with environmental care, as well as sustainable tourism development. It is important that the inhabitants have a program that helps them first to know about Environmental Responsibility and how to achieve compliance with it. For the development of this research, the descriptive application method was applied, showing the results through tables and figures in a quantitative way, once the surveys (382) were applied to the inhabitants of the spa. Obtaining as main conclusions that 82% of respondents do not know what is environmental responsibility. On the other hand, 41% of the respondents mentioned that the lack of attractive spa infrastructure is the main cause that influences the sustainable tourism development of the spa. Once the results were analyzed, the proposal “Training program for good environmental practices and tourism development of the freshwater spa El Limón” was developed; through which the inhabitants and tourists are taught about care and protection for the place mentioned.
