For such circumstances, the present case study aims to report on domestic violence and how it affects the self-esteem of the adolescent under study, in order to provide the appropriate tools to prevent further damage to their mental health, through psychotherapeutic interventions and the use of the appropriate cognitive behavioral therapy model at the individual level, with the use of instruments such as direct observation, psychometric tests as well as the Hamilton anxiety scale, Rosenberg test, for the determination of possible diagnostic criteria. |

Referente a las formas más predominantes de maltrato se haya el maltrato psicológico como lo son los insultos frecuentes, reclusión de la habitación u hogar y regaños, el mismo que afecta el nivel de autoestima de un adolescente.
