| Summary: | The present research aims to design a cultural tourism product for the preservation of indigenous identity and economic growth. The Canton Pangua has a dynamic municipal administration concerned with achieving better management and generation of resources, linked to citizenship and demonstrated in a society consolidated in values and ethical and moral principles, integrated into national development through the improvement of its quality. of life, economic income, production, education, health, commercialization, tourism and environment. The Local Development Plan (2007) has considered "Environmental Development" as a priority project for the progress of the canton, proposing subprojects such as the creation of the Environmental Management and Tourism Unit, inventory of potential tourist sites in the canton , training the community in the development of community environmental projects, organizing the beneficiaries of tourism projects and training the communities in the proper management of natural resources. The natural and cultural power that Pangua possesses, so far has not achieved national recognition, this is due to an absence in the promotion and dissemination of the sites, hence the prevailing need to create a tourist product that is capable of concentrating all the natural and cultural potential of the canton, with this project the municipality of the canton intends to become an important tool for the creation, strengthening, promotion and marketing of attractions, activities, goods 3 and services, integrated into products, thus achieving that tourism be considered as an activity that encourages the improvement of the living conditions of its inhabitants and promotes the participation of local communities in tourist activity. |
