Summary:The present research work is focused on the identification of posttraumatic stress disorder and how this psychological malaise produces a low academic performance, so it does not allow it to develop with functionality in the areas of its own psychological, educational, social and labor interest. In this study, techniques such as observation, interview and a psychometric test were also used, in addition to having the file or medical history provided by the psychological department of the Technical University of Babahoyo. Within the situations detected, significant data were presented in relation to the case and the problem throughout the process, through the application of strategies and a therapeutic plan based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a specific treatment plan for the disorder of Posttraumatic stress, where the objectives of the therapy and specific techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will be seen, in order to achieve the desired results.
