The research methodology was used: inductive - deductive, analytical and historical – logical, mixed modality, field, exploratory and descriptive, transversal, executing the technique of direct observation, survey, document analysis and measurement for data collection. Based on the results as relevant data, he reflected that patients with diabetic foot predominate in the male sex, the age with the highest prevalence is 56 to 65 years, in addition it was verified that the patients do not practice proper self-care for themselves, since who wear inadequate footwear, which generates the degree of complication of diabetic foot ulcer, it is also essential that the patient in case of having unhealthy lifestyle habits such as alcoholism, smoking, sedentary lifestyle should be changed immediately in order to achieve An optimal recovery in the treatment of diabetic foot. In conclusion, it was determined that the increase in diabetic foot patients does not depend exclusively on nursing interventions, but on the patient's commitment to self-care. |

Se planteó como objetivo determinar cómo inciden las intervenciones de enfermería en el control del pie diabético en los pacientes que acuden al Hospital General Guasmo Sur, cantón Guayaquil, provincia del Guayas, Mayo – Septiembre 2019. A si mismo se empleó la metodología de investigación: inductivo – deductivo, analítico e histórico ¬– lógico, modalidad mixta, de campo, exploratoria y descriptiva, transversal, ejecutando la técnica de observación directa, encuesta, análisis de documentos y medición para la obtención de datos. En base a los resultados como datos relevantes, reflejó que los pacientes con pie diabético predominan en el sexo masculino, la edad con mayor prevalencia es de 56 a 65 años, además se verifico que los pacientes no practican un autocuidado correcto para sí mismo, ya que usan calzados inadecuados, lo que genera el grado de complicación de ulcera del pie diabético, así mismo es indispensable que el paciente en caso de tener hábitos de vida no saludable tales como alcoholismo, tabaquismo, sedentarismo deben ser cambiados inmediatamente con la finalidad de alcanzar una óptima recuperación en el tratamiento del pie diabético.
