description The present case study is carried out based on the medical history of a 23-year-old male patient due to a head trauma with a picture of respiratory distress, in addition to presenting dyspnea, tachypnea, tachycardia, arterial hypotension, oxygen desaturation, use of of intercostal musculature, drowsy, an evaluation of his state of consciousness is carried out, which does not respond to various stimuli performed, yielding a score of 7/15 on the Glasgow scale, in the physical examination performed on the patient at the level of the skull he presents bruises , in the oral cavity with the presence of blood and the lips with bleeding, at the chest level, pulmonary auscultation is performed where he presents vesicular murmur, at the cardiac level he does not refer murmurs, he refers to an increase in HR, in the upper extremities he presents lacerations, hematomas and wounds in the hands, product of the automobile accident, in the left arm there is a peripheral venous route, in the e Lower extremities show lacerations, bruises, and minor wounds. Cranioencephalic trauma is important in the clinic of health professionals, it is closely related to traffic accidents, within a study carried out it was determined that in the individuals who suffer the most from these traumas are adolescents and adults. In conclusion, based on the analysis of the case study, the techniques of the respiratory therapy professional were applied, which was beneficial in the symptomatological and clinical picture of the patient. Also, it was possible to establish effective treatment for respiratory distress such as invasive ventilatory support, which was effective in this treatment, after recovery, improvement of the patient's lifestyle and health.

Also, it was possible to establish effective treatment for respiratory distress such as invasive ventilatory support, which was effective in this treatment, after recovery, improvement of the patient's lifestyle and health.El presente estudio de caso es realizado en base a la historia clínica de un paciente masculino de 23 años de edad por un traumatismo craneoencefálico con un cuadro de distres respiratorio, además de presentar disnea, taquipnea, taquicardia, hipotensión arterial, desaturación de oxígeno, uso de musculatura intercostal, somnoliento, se realiza una evaluación de su estado de conciencia el cual no responde a varios estímulos realizados arrojando un puntaje de 7/15 en la escala de Glasgow, en el examen físico realizado en el paciente a nivel del cráneo presenta hematomas, en la cavidad bucal con presencia de sangre y los labios con desangramiento, a nivel del tórax se le realiza auscultación pulmonar donde presenta murmullo vesicular, a nivel cardiaco no refiere soplos, refiere aumento de la FC, en las extremidades superiores presenta laceraciones, hematomas y heridas en las manos, producto del accidente automovilístico, en el brazo izquierdo se presenta una vía venosa periférica, en las extremidades inferiores presenta laceraciones, hematomas y heridas leves. El traumatismo craneoencefálico es importante en la clínica de los profesionales de salud, se relaciona mucho con los accidentes de tránsito, dentro de un estudio realizado se determinó que en los individuos que más sufren de estos traumas son los adolescentes y adultos. En conclusión, basado en el análisis del estudio de caso se aplicó las técnicas del profesional de terapia respiratoria el cual fue beneficioso en el cuadro sintomatológico y clínico del paciente.
