For this reason, this project seeks to contribute to the insertion of this subject in the training of communication students at the Technical University of Babahoyo.La presente investigación tiene por título el periodismo investigativo en la formación integral de profesionales en el área de comunicación de la universidad técnica de Babahoyo extensión Quevedo, séptimo semestre año 2020, en el que se destacan las ventajas de la aplicación del periodismo investigativo sobre la formación integral de los estudiantes de la carrera de comunicación, pues se conoce que este tiene un desarrollo práctico bastante beneficioso para quienes lo desarrollan. La investigación se realiza mediante la resolución de una encuesta de 6 preguntas estratégicas entregadas al grupo de estudiantes del séptimo semestre de la carrera de comunicación, en el que se conoce que los encuestados están de acuerdo en que la inserción y desarrollo del periodismo investigativo ayudaría a la formación y aprendizaje de los mismos.
