Using a quantitative methodology, this work is supported by a documentary review of budget records, complemented by the application of management indicators as key tools to interpret effectiveness, efficiency, and budget compliance. This approach allowed not only a deep understanding of the financial management of the La Unión Parish GAD, but also the identification of areas for improvement and the proposal of recommendations focused on optimizing resources and processes. |

La investigación surge de la necesidad de comprender cómo las decisiones presupuestarias influyen en la eficacia y eficiencia de la gestión pública local, y cómo estas repercuten en el desarrollo socioeconómico de la comunidad. A través de una meticulosa revisión de las cédulas presupuestarias, este estudio busca no solo identificar el estado actual de los ingresos y gastos, sino también evaluar el cumplimiento de los objetivos financieros y la capacidad de respuesta del gobierno parroquial ante las necesidades de sus habitantes. Empleando una metodología cuantitativa, este trabajo se apoya en una revisión documental de los registros presupuestarios, complementada con la aplicación de indicadores de gestión como herramientas clave para interpretar la eficacia, eficiencia y cumplimiento presupuestario.
