Diagnosticado con miopía moderada desde los seis años, ha utilizado lentes correctivos, renovándolos anualmente. Sin embargo, en los últimos años, su condición ha empeorado dando como consecuencia el desarrollo de una miopía magna y a pesar de haber realizado un examen hace nueve meses, los síntomas persisten, especialmente tras largas horas frente a dispositivos electrónicos. Además, el paciente reporta dolor de cabeza y dificultades para conducir de noche. Su historial clínico incluye antecedentes familiares de miopía y diabetes, lo que sugiere una posible predisposición genética.
