Streszczenie:The present study deals with mood and its impact on sports performance in Federíos. It is necessary to consider that, for a high-performance athlete to obtain satisfactory results, some variables must be aligned and the state of mind is of vital importance. There is a history of this topic; however, this research aims to determine how certain mood states such as: depression, anxiety, joy and hostility influence the sports performance of individuals. The methodology used in the study was a correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional investigation. The population is made up of 125 young athletes from the different disciplines of Federíos in the Babahoyo canton, province of Los Ríos. The sample was selected through simple random sampling, consisting of 95 young athletes. To collect information, the following techniques were used: survey and observation. While the instruments were: a Mood Assessment Scale (EVEA), adapted version and sports performance assessment sheet. The results revealed that: The level of incidence of mood in the sports performance of Federíos students is high, with a correlation of - 0.79, which means that there is a strong statistical association between the variables, which is why It is essential to work on the emotional aspects of athletes so that their performance before and during a competition is not deteriorated.
