Regarding the treatments used in the present investigation, it is observed that conventional fertilization and farmer fertilization reached the highest yields in relation to the other treatments. Nutricencial treatment in doses of 400 kg ha-1 was economically favorable. Weed control is recommended before the fertilizer application time. |

Weed control is recommended before the fertilizer application time.El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en el Rcto El Porvenir – Cantón Babahoyo, Parroquia Pimocha, provincia Los Rios, ubicado en el km 12, de la vía Babahoyo - Jujan, entre las coordenadas geográficas 79°37’59” de longitud Oeste y 10°52’22” de latitud Sur; con una altura de 7 m.s.n.m. La zona presenta un clima tropical húmedo, con una temperatura media anual de 24,7 °C; una precipitación anual 1976 mm; humedad relativa 85 % y 998,2 horas de heliofanía de promedio anual. Como material de siembra se utilizó la Variedad Iniap – 14. Los tratamientos estuvieron conformados Nutriesencial ® en dosis de 200 kg/ha, Nutriesencial ® en dosis de 250 kg/ha, Nutriesencial ® en dosis de 300 kg/ha, Nutriesencial ® en dosis de 350 kg/ha, Nutriesencial ® en dosis de 400 kg/ha, Nutriesencial ® en dosis de 450 kg/ha, Fertilización convencional N – P – K – S en dosis de 275 kg/ha, Testigo Agricultor N – P – K – S en dosis de 187 kg/ha. Respecto a los tratamientos utilizados en la presenta investigación se observa que la fertilización convencional y la fertilización del agricultor alcanzaron los más altos rendimientos en relación a los demás tratamientos.
