Περίληψη:The proposed study focuses on the research and development of a prototype composite material that incorporates corn husks as a reinforcing agent in a polymeric matrix, with the aim of offering a sustainable industrial alternative. The problem of corn husk waste in Ecuador is presented, where there is a high production of this agricultural waste and, in turn, a significant generation of plastic waste, which represents a significant environmental challenge. In this sense, there is an opportunity to use corn husks as a resource to improve the mechanical properties of polymeric products, thus contributing to the reduction of environmental impact and promoting the circular economy. The results of this research are expected to provide knowledge on the use of corn husks as reinforcement in polymeric matrices and their impact on the properties of composite materials. Furthermore, the developed prototypes are expected to demonstrate their technical and economic feasibility for possible application in industry.
