The research aimed to identify the influence of the actions of nursing in the acute diarrheal syndrome in children less than 5 years. Health Center jump, Babahoyo, rivers. October 2018 - April 2019. The methodology was based on a study of deductive and historico-logico, with a quali-quantitative approach, was also a field research, descriptive and transversal cutting with a population of 100 children under 5 years old. According to the demographic of the population, dominance the age of 1-3 years 45%, female sex with 66%, with a schooling of the second level with a 44%, and one income lower than the minimum wage with a 57%. Risk factors that impacted on the acute diarrheal syndrome are basic services, access to water, immunization, breastfeeding, this influences the incidence of the disease and the frequency with which it occurs, evidenced by the low level of knowledge of mothers or caregivers related to deficiency of activities such as lectures by nurses and the lack of awareness among the community. It intends to implement a plan of action of nursing with strategies aimed at strengthening the knowledge about the disease through the proper promotion and prevention of health focused on children under 5 years old who come to the Centre of health El Salto.
