| Summary: | This research is a systematic study that allowed us to know the relevant factors influencing the high prevalence of depression in the elderly living in the community Falklands: also allowed us to accurately describe the difficulties faced by the elderly right through a survey, and many of them have mental health problems such as depression being the leading causes of abandonment by their families, socioeconomic factors , degenerative diseases, older adults living with dysfunctional families. Furthermore, we could clearly see that the older adult who is going through this process of aging requires more attention from family members or caregivers so that they can lead a dignified life in this process. To conclude the elderly living in the community Falkland mostly found in the age of 72-78 years, with more men than women who are in the same dropouts and have the need to go to a soup kitchen where they spend most of your time to share with friends. With these results, we may disclose our proposal to the families of the community to propose occupational and recreational work, family integration with the elderly and thus prevent mental illness. |
