| Резюме: | Acute cholecystitis is considered a disease that affects millions of people around the world, but especially in Western societies, where between 10% and 30% of its inhabitants are diagnosed and each year there are a million new cases , in which it is recorded that it affects women to a greater degree, between 30 and 80 years of age. In Ecuador it is considered as the second cause of morbidity in women and in men it is the fifth cause. Cholecystitis is defined as an inflammation of the gallbladder itself, which is one of the most common problems that affects the digestive tract. According to studies in 90 - 95% of the cases presented, this corresponds to a complication of cholelithiasis which is usually caused by an obstruction of the cystic duct that is manifested by a distention or by an inflammation which could cause a bacterial infection. Most patients tend to suffer from pain that usually has the same characteristics as biliary colic, while the pain from cholecystitis is much more prolonged and severe. Patients tend to vomit suddenly and present pain in the right subcostal region, patients sometimes have fever. Health personnel have to emphasize the clinic that the patient throws in order to act immediately and carry out the appropriate medical and nursing interventions. The complications derived from cholecystitis will depend on the state in which the patient is, both its comorbidities and the degree of inflammation that it presents. |
