Summary:Canine Babesiosis is a hemoparasitic disease caused by an intracellular protozoan Babesia, in which it is located within the erythrocyte and can cause intravascular hemolysis due to direct damage to the erythrocyte, this document aimed to cite the susceptibility to Babesia canis according to race , sex, and age, as well as according to the provinces of the Ecuadorian coast, for the development of the document, the exploratory method was used in databases with indexed journals, obtained from space of universities, books, Google bibliographies academic and scientific articles. Therefore, it was established that babesiosis has become one of the hemoparasitic diseases with a wide distribution that affects domestic animals, since it presents a series of clinical signs that can be confused with other diseases of the neurological system, therefore it is necessary perform hematological tests and thus be able to establish a good diagnosis and at the same time provide the appropriate treatment.
