| Sumari: | The management system for the laboratories and computer centers was developed using both Java programming language and MySQL database manager. In addition, the Iterative - Incremental process model was used to plan the research project in different iterations, giving a complete functionality to the user in different deliveries of the system. Through this technological proposal, a system was developed that aims to automate and streamline the processes of information management in the computer centers and laboratories of the Programs of the Major of Engineering and Applied Sciences. This system manages the information of all the equipment, allowing the inventory control. Therefore, the feasibility of verifying the corresponding registry and the condition of each equipment, it also allows generating reports of individual and general mode regarding equipment and material. Another of the functionalities of the system is the recording of the practices carried out by teachers and their students in the laboratories and computer centers. It also creates the corresponding reports that become evidence of their use for teaching - learning activities. In addition, the system has the User Management module, which allows guaranteeing the security in the handling and access of the information that is managed. In general, the administrative process has improved and contributes to the information being organized and secure, thus avoiding difficulties such as loss, alteration and deterioration thereof. The study fulfills with the stated objectives and makes an important contribution in the field of engineering, applying a new development process with innovative and free programming tools. |
