Resumo:The research focuses a problematic related to the insufficiencies that are manifested in the fulfillment of the educational role of the family at the Middle Basic sub-level of the “Sagrado Corazón de Jesús” Educational Unit of the Latacunga Canton. The essence of the problem is the overprotection of parents toward their children causing them an emotional, physical and intellectual imbalance which generates inconveniences in the educative labor. The aim proposed to solve this problem, was to develop a training program to improve the educational role of the family with the purpose of guaranteeing the integral development of students and a healthy coexistence with the entire educational community. The research was developed considering a qualitative approach that helped to identify the deep nature of the reality of students and parents in the educative process. For this, the inductive- deductive and modelling methods were applied which helped us to make abstractions and explain the context taking into consideration some techniques such as surveys and observation. The questionnaire also was used as evaluation instrument. These allowed to obtain as outcomes the theoretical and epistemological foundation, the proposal, its validation and its partial application due to the time factor, it could not be completed in a 100%. Finally, the conclusion of this research was based on the elaboration and validation of the proposal as a viable and applicable alternative according to the reality that each institution has
