Gaia:Currently, energy in the form of heat is a widely used resource, however the use of renewable and clean energy in several places is quite limited, which represents a high consumption of fossil fuels and therefore a significant environmental cost. The inefficient use of energy is a global problem because it uses excessive amounts of scarce non-renewable resources. By increasing energy efficiency, the use of energy resources is reduced, thereby delaying their depletion. , the negative impacts on the environment and health are reduced. On the American continent, several countries such as Cuba, Nicaragua, Chile, Peru and Brazil have opted to generate strategies that allow them to use clean energy and leave dependence on hydrocarbons and coal projects, since the current energy model is unsustainable, which entails necessarily to think about a rationally combined energy future for homes, swimming pools, hospitals, hotels and industrial processes (Linkohr, 2006).
