Summary:The objective of this research report was to design a management model that is viable and sustainable for the Closed Market of the city of Latacunga, through a Business Management Model, the current Administration will apply significant principles that include the creation of organizational foundations. such as: mission, vision, objectives, values; the analysis of the current environment to identify the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and existing threats that affect users and merchants, and in this way propose strategies that are aligned to strengthen the positioning of the Latacunga Closed Market. For this, a quantitative-qualitative methodology was used, obtained through research techniques such as interviews and surveys. In the case of the interview, it was addressed to the Closed Market Administrator, who is responsible for the internal management of the public space; On the other hand, the surveys focused on merchants who are an active part and provide an established service, and users are part of the demand that comes to this place to purchase quality products and services for a fair price. For the development, there was bibliographic information that established various models of administrative management that were applicable to the Closed Market "El Salto" and it was determined that they are based on the improvement of the quality of the services that were provided to the citizenry, it is also It is important to take advantage of the strengths such as the good strategic positioning of this public space and, in the future, adequately plan sufficient economic resources to improve the physical infrastructure and complementary services necessary for the Closed Market. Thus, the proposed Management Model raised took into account each of the administrative processes currently provided by the municipality as an integral system, with dynamics and interaction between administrative units that adapt to the external environment and economic factors. The Mayor of the Latacunga canton informed the officials of the institution of this Management Model considering that administrative excellence must be part of the service provided, this depends on the establishment of a leadership system that encourages the municipal official to provide a service of quality at all levels.
